Two of my bead designs were published in the August/September 2020 Beadwork magazine.
The piece pictured on the back cover is what I refer to as the "waterfall necklace".
Autumnal Equinox at Glen Onoko Falls was created in 2015. It was inspired by a bead found while hiking the trail. The find prompted the thought to visualize the waterfall made from beads. The beadwork was finished over a period of six months and involved hundreds of hours of time.
The second necklace featured in an advertisement is one I named Le Jardin.
As a Featured Artist in the 2020 Toho Challenge I was given a box containing the beautiful palette of beads. The bright colors of the collection named "Spectrum of Joy"immediately brought forth visions of gardens in full bloom. The blossoms include some of my old favorites as well as a few that were designed especially for this piece.
Most individual flower designs will be included in my forthcoming book, tentatively titled From the Flowering Fields, available soon through publish on demand. The center focal is a hand carved pendant made from nephrite jade.
