Thea's First Christmas Ornament

This is the ornament I made for my granddaughter Thea's first Christmas. It measures 4 1/4" wide by 3 3/4" tall. My daughter likes letters and has both them and wooden cut-out words as design elements in her house. The project started simply enough but the more I worked the more I added. The following photos show the progression from the source idea to the final result. The total time from start to completion was about 40 hours.
